स्वाङ्गरूपेषु भावेषु पत्युर् ज्ञानं क्रिया च या
मायातृतीये ते एव पशोः सत्त्वं रजस् तमः ॥४॥
svāṅgarūpeṣu bhāveṣu patyur jñānaṃ kriyā ca yā
māyātṛtīye te eva paśoḥ sattvaṃ rajas tamaḥ

The knowledge and action of the Lord, present among the entities that appear as his own limbs — those very two, when máyā is added as a third (i.e. in the veiled state), become for the bound soul sattva, rajas, and tamas.
