मातैव कारणं तेन स चाभासद्वयस्थितौ
कार्यस्य स्थित एवैकस् तद् एकस्य क्रियोदिता ॥७॥
mātaiva kāraṇaṃ tena sa cābhāsadvayasthitau
kāryasya sthita evaikas tad ekasya kriyoditā

The cognizing subject alone is the cause; therefore he, in the establishing of the two appearances (cause and effect) of an effect, remains one and the same. Hence action has been declared to belong to the one (subject).
