न च युक्तं जडस्यैवं भेदाभेदविरोधतः
आभासभेदाद् एकत्र चिदात्मनि तु युज्यते ॥१९॥
na ca yuktaṃ jaḍasyaivaṃ bhedābhedavirodhataḥ
ābhāsabhedād ekatra cidātmani tu yujyate
— and not; — tenable, possible; — for an insentient thing; — thus, in this way; — because of the contradiction between difference and non-difference; — from the difference of appearances; — in the one; — whose self is consciousness; — but; — it is tenable
And this is not tenable for an insentient thing, because of the contradiction between difference and non-difference; but in the one (subject) whose self is consciousness, it is tenable through the difference of appearances.
