8.67

ततो गुणतत्त्वात् बुद्धितत्त्वं यत्र पुम्प्रकाशो विषयश् च प्रतिबिम्बम् अर्पयतः

Transliteration (IAST)

tato guṇatattvāt buddhitattvaṃ yatra pumprakāśo viṣayaś ca pratibimbam arpayataḥ

— from the principle of the qualities ; — the principle of intellect ; — the light of the soul (puruṣa) ; — the object ; — the two cast their reflection (upon it)

Then, from the principle of the qualities, arises the principle of intellect, upon which both the light of the soul and the object cast their reflection.
