8.1

यद् इदं विभवात्मकं भुवनजातम् उक्तं गर्भीकृतानन्तविचित्रभोक्तृभोग्यं तत्र यद् अनुगतं महाप्रकाशरूपं तत् महासामान्यकल्पं परमशिवरूपम्

Transliteration (IAST)

yad idaṃ vibhavātmakaṃ bhuvanajātam uktaṃ garbhīkṛtānantavicitrabhoktṛbhogyaṃ tatra yad anugataṃ mahāprakāśarūpaṃ tat mahāsāmānyakalpaṃ paramaśivarūpam

— consisting of (cosmic) expansion ; — the totality of worlds ; — holding in its womb endless and varied experiencers and objects of experience ; — running through (as the pervasive substrate) ; — having the form of the great Light ; — resembling the great universal (the all-inclusive genus) ; — having the nature of Supreme Śiva

This totality of worlds that has been described, consisting of cosmic expansion and holding in its womb endless and varied experiencers and objects of experience — that which runs through it all as the great Light is the supreme universal, having the nature of Supreme Śiva.
