तत्र प्राग् आनन्दः पूर्णतांशस्पर्शात् तत उद्भवः क्षणं निःशरीरतायां रूढेः ततः कम्पः स्वबलाक्रान्तौ देहतादात्म्यशैथिल्यात् ततो निद्रा बहिर्मुखत्वविलयात्

Transliteration (IAST)

tatra prāg ānandaḥ pūrṇatāṃśasparśāt tata udbhavaḥ kṣaṇaṃ niḥśarīratāyāṃ rūḍheḥ tataḥ kampaḥ svabalākrāntau dehatādātmyaśaithilyāt tato nidrā bahirmukhatvavilayāt

— bliss [the first state] ; — from the touch of a portion of fullness ; — upsurge, the rising-up [second state] ; — from settling momentarily in bodilessness ; — trembling [third state] ; — when overcome by [the Self's] own power ; — from the loosening of identification with the body ; — sleep [fourth state] ; — from the dissolution of outward-facing orientation

Therein: first, bliss (ānanda), from the touch of a portion of fullness; then upsurge (udbhava), from settling momentarily in bodilessness; then trembling (kampa), from the loosening of identification with the body when one is overcome by [the Self's] own power; then sleep (nidrā), from the dissolution of outward-facing orientation;
