अन्यथा ह्येकरूपत्वे विचिकित्सा प्रवर्तते । विना बोधं प्राथमिके निर्यत्नश्च भवेदसौ ॥९५॥
anyathā hyekarūpatve vicikitsā pravartate | vinā bodhaṃ prāthamike niryatnaśca bhavedasau
— for otherwise ; — if (only) the single nature (were taught) ; — doubt ; — would arise ; — without (gradual) instruction ; — in the beginner ; — effortless (lacking effort toward practice) ; — and ; — he would become

For otherwise, if (only) the single nature (were taught) without (graded) instruction, doubt would arise in the beginner, and he would become slack in effort (— hence the provisional teaching of difference and impurity).
