कपालादिकजन्यत्वमभावस्तस्य संगता । सत्यस्य कारणापेक्षा घटादिजनने यथा ॥७४॥
kapālādikajanyatvamabhāvastasya saṃgatā | satyasya kāraṇāpekṣā ghaṭādijanane yathā
— being producible by potsherds and the like ; — absence (the pot's destruction) ; — of it ; — is fitting (becomes coherent) ; — of the real ; — dependence on a cause ; — in the production of a pot and the like ; — just as

(Only on our view) is the absence (pot-destruction) coherently producible by potsherds and the like; (for) the dependence of the real on a cause (holds), just as in the production of a pot and the like (— absence too being a positive state of the persisting substance).
