नष्टस्य समवायित्वमनष्टस्य घटस्य वा । नष्टस्य तदकर्तृत्वमनष्टस्य स्वरूपिता ॥५४॥
naṣṭasya samavāyitvamanaṣṭasya ghaṭasya vā | naṣṭasya tadakartṛtvamanaṣṭasya svarūpitā
— of the perished ; — the having of inherence ; — of the unperished ; — or of the pot ; — of the perished ; — its non-agency therein ; — of the unperished ; — (its) abiding in its own form

(Does) inherence (belong) to the perished (pot) or to the unperished pot? Of the perished, there is its non-agency therein; (and) of the unperished, (there is) its abiding in its own form (— so on either horn the momentarist is undone).
