तथाविधा विभिन्नास्ते सर्वदा निजभावतः ।
विभिन्ना एव ते नैक्यं मृत्पिंडात् प्रागवस्थितेः ॥५॥
tathāvidhā vibhinnāste sarvadā nijabhāvataḥ |
vibhinnā eva te naikyaṃ mṛtpiṃḍāt prāgavasthiteḥ
(On their view) such (selves or effects) are always differentiated by their own nature; (so) they are differentiated indeed, and there is no unity (among them) — (just as there is none) by reason of (the pot's supposed) prior existence in the lump of clay (which the sat-kārya critique already undid).
