करोति विद्यासंयोगं तर्ह्यन्येश्वरकल्पना ।
आर्हतास्तु जिनो देवो जीवाः सन्ति पृथक् पृथक् ॥२४॥
karoti vidyāsaṃyogaṃ tarhyanyeśvarakalpanā |
ārhatāstu jino devo jīvāḥ santi pṛthak pṛthak
(If something) effects the conjunction with knowledge, then the positing of another Lord (would be required, ad infinitum). But the Jainas (hold that) the Jina is (their) god, and that souls exist each separately.
