अथ चेत् सर्वभावानां न विना तत्त्वमेककम् । समन्वयोऽस्ति तदिदं कथमैक्यं विभेदितम् ॥१॥
atha cet sarvabhāvānāṃ na vinā tattvamekakam | samanvayo'sti tadidaṃ kathamaikyaṃ vibheditam
— now if (one asks) ; — of all existent things ; — not apart from ; — one single reality ; — concomitance ; — there is ; — that being so, this (question) ; — how ; — unity ; — (appears) differentiated

Now if (one asks): the concomitance of all existent things does not (hold) apart from one single reality — that being so, how is this unity (made to appear) differentiated?
