4.22
यत्र काले सरजतो देशोऽभूत्स गतस्तदा । कालान्तरेण देशोऽसौ का बाधा भिन्नकालयोः ॥२२॥
yatra kāle sarajato deśo'bhūtsa gatastadā | kālāntareṇa deśo'sau kā bādhā bhinnakālayoḥ
— at which time ; — containing silver (the silver-cognition) ; — place ; — existed ; — that ; — has gone ; — then ; — at a different time ; — the place ; — this ; — what annulment ; — of the two, (which are) of different times

— (we reply:) the place as it was at the time it contained the (apparent) silver has (itself) passed away; and this (present) place is of a different time. What annulment can there be between two (place-states) belonging to different times?
