अथेदानीं प्रवक्तव्यं यथा सर्वं शिवात्मकम् । नाशक्तो विद्यते कश्चिच्छक्तं वस्त्वेव तेऽपि नो ॥१॥
athedānīṃ pravaktavyaṃ yathā sarvaṃ śivātmakam | nāśakto vidyate kaścicchaktaṃ vastveva te'pi no
— now, at this point ; — it must be expounded ; — how ; — everything ; — has Śiva as its self ; — not ; — an impotent (thing) ; — exists ; — any ; — the potent ; — alone is real ; — they too ; — not (impotent)

Now it must be expounded how everything has Śiva for its self. No impotent thing exists (at all); only the potent is real — and those (entities) too are not (impotent).
