कण्ठादौ वदने वायौ व्यापारो वाग्रुतस्य सा । करणं, नादरूपादिशब्दस्यास्ति शिवात्मता ॥८९॥
kaṇṭhādau vadane vāyau vyāpāro vāgrutasya sā | karaṇaṃ, nādarūpādiśabdasyāsti śivātmatā
— in the throat and so on ; — in the mouth ; — in the breath ; — the operation ; — of what is heard as speech ; — it ; — an instrument ; — of the Word in the form of resonance and so on ; — there is ; — Śiva-nature

The operation in the throat, the mouth, and the breath, of what is heard as speech — that is (only) an instrument; (yet even) the Word in the form of resonance and so on has the nature of Śiva.
