स्फोटस्यासत्यरूपैर्हि पदाद्यैर्व्यङ्ग्यता कथम् ।
पश्यन्त्याः सत्यरूपाया असत्यैर्व्यङ्ग्यता न च ॥६०॥
sphoṭasyāsatyarūpairhi padādyairvyaṅgyatā katham |
paśyantyāḥ satyarūpāyā asatyairvyaṅgyatā na ca
— of the sphoṭa; — by unreal-natured (means); — indeed; — by words and so on; — the being-manifested; — how; — of Paśyantī; — of the real-natured; — by unreal (means); — being-manifested; — is not (possible)
How can the sphoṭa be manifested by unreal-natured (means) such as words and the rest? And the real-natured Paśyantī cannot be manifested by unreal (means) at all.
