द्विष्ठस्यानेकरूपत्वात् सिद्धस्यान्यानपेक्षणात्
पारतन्त्र्याद्ययोगाच् च तेन कर्तापि कल्पितः ॥११॥
dviṣṭhasyānekarūpatvāt siddhasyānyānapekṣaṇāt
pāratantryādyayogāc ca tena kartāpi kalpitaḥ
— of what abides in two (cause and effect); — because of (its) having many forms; — of what is (already) established; — because of (its) not depending on another; — because of the inapplicability of dependence and the like; — and; — therefore; — an agent; — too, also; — is (merely) a construct, is imagined
(Opponent concludes:) Because what abides in the two (cause and effect) has many forms, because what is already established does not depend on another, and because dependence and the like cannot apply — therefore an 'agent' too is merely a fictional construct.
