11.17
अप्रवर्तितपूर्वो ऽत्र केवलं मूढतावशात् शक्तिप्रकाशेनेशादिव्यवहारः प्रवर्त्यते ॥१७॥
apravartitapūrvo 'tra kevalaṃ mūḍhatāvaśāt śaktiprakāśeneśādivyavahāraḥ pravartyate
— not previously set going (not hitherto undertaken) ; — here, in this case ; — merely, only ; — through the force of delusion ; — by the disclosure of (his) powers ; — the practical recognition as 'the Lord' and so on ; — is set going, is brought about

Here, then, what was never hitherto undertaken — merely through the force of delusion — namely the practical recognition (of him) as 'the Lord' and so on, is now set going by the disclosure of (his) powers.
