1.20

अथ व्यवस्थितान्दृष्ट्वा धार्तराष्ट्रान्कपिध्वजः । प्रवृत्ते शस्त्रसम्पाते धनुरुद्यम्य पाण्डवः ॥ १-२० ॥

atha vyavasthitāndṛṣṭvā dhārtarāṣṭrānkapidhvajaḥ | pravṛtte śastrasampāte dhanurudyamya pāṇḍavaḥ || 1-20 ||

— then ; — having seen (them) drawn up ; — the sons of Dhṛtarāṣṭra ; — he whose banner bears the monkey (Arjuna) ; — as the clash of weapons was about to begin ; — having raised his bow ; — the son of Pāṇḍu

Then, seeing the sons of Dhṛtarāṣṭra drawn up as the clash of weapons was about to begin, the son of Pāṇḍu, whose banner bears the monkey, raised his bow,
