तं दृष्ट्वा ते भयापन्नाः सिंहं दृष्ट्वा यथा गजाः ।
विद्रवन्ति च नश्यन्ति पतङ्गा इव पावके ॥२७॥
taṃ dṛṣṭvā te bhayāpannāḥ siṃhaṃ dṛṣṭvā yathā gajāḥ |
vidravanti ca naśyanti pataṅgā iva pāvake ||27||

Seized with fear at the sight of him, they flee as elephants at the sight of a lion, and perish like moths in the fire.
