1.34

त्वां विना कोऽस्ति जीवानां घोरसंसारसागरे । भर्त्ता पाता समुद्धर्त्ता पितृवत् प्रियकृत् प्रभुः ॥३४॥

tvāṃ vinā ko'sti jīvānāṃ ghorasaṃsārasāgare | bharttā pātā samuddharttā pitṛvat priyakṛt prabhuḥ ||34||

— you ; — without ; — who ; — is there ; — of living beings ; — in the fearsome ocean of saṃsāra ; — sustainer ; — protector ; — deliverer (one who lifts up) ; — like a father ; — doer of what is dear, benefactor ; — the lord

Without you, who is there for living beings in the fearsome ocean of saṃsāra—as sustainer, protector, deliverer, the benefactor like a father, the lord?
