6.27

तत्र मानुषं वर्षं देवानां तिथिः अनेन क्रमेण दिव्यानि द्वादशवर्षसहस्राणि चतुर्युगम्

Transliteration (IAST)

tatra mānuṣaṃ varṣaṃ devānāṃ tithiḥ anena krameṇa divyāni dvādaśavarṣasahasrāṇi caturyugam

— a human year ; — of the gods ; — a lunar day ; — divine (years) ; — twelve thousand years ; — a cycle of four ages

Therein a human year is a single lunar day of the gods. By this reckoning, twelve thousand divine years make a cycle of four ages (caturyuga).
