22.18

कार्यहेतुसहोत्थत्वात् त्रैधं साक्षाद् अथान्यथा । कॢप्तावतो मिथो ऽभ्यर्च्य तर्प्यानन्दान्तिकत्वतः

Transliteration (IAST)

kāryahetusahotthatvāt traidhaṃ sākṣād athānyathā | kḷptāvato mitho 'bhyarcya tarpyānandāntikatvataḥ

— because of the co-arising of effect and cause (together) ; — in a threefold manner ; — directly, or else otherwise ; — of the two duly arranged ; — having mutually worshipped ; — having gratified ; — by reason of proximity to bliss

Because effect and cause arise together, (the worship is) threefold — directly, or else otherwise. Of the two, duly arranged, having mutually worshipped and gratified each other, by reason of (their) proximity to bliss —
