ततः सामान्यार्घपात्रयोगेन चक्रं तर्पयेत् ततो व्याचक्षीत सूत्रवाक्यपटलग्रन्थम् पूर्वापराविरुद्धं कुर्वन् तन्त्रावृत्तिप्रसङ्गसमुच्चयविकल्पादिशास्त्रन्यायौचित्येन पूर्वं पक्षं सम्यक् घटयित्वा सम्यक् च दूषयन् साध्यं साधयन् तात्पर्यवृत्तिं प्रदर्शयन् पटलान्तं व्याचक्षीत नाधिकम् तत्रापि वस्त्वन्ते वस्त्वन्ते तर्पणं पूजनम् इति यावद् व्याख्यासमाप्तिः

tataḥ sāmānyārghapātrayogena cakraṃ tarpayet tato vyācakṣīta sūtravākyapaṭalagrantham pūrvāparāviruddhaṃ kurvan tantrāvṛttiprasaṅgasamuccayavikalpādiśāstranyāyaucityena pūrvaṃ pakṣaṃ samyak ghaṭayitvā samyak ca dūṣayan sādhyaṃ sādhayan tātparyavṛttiṃ pradarśayan paṭalāntaṃ vyācakṣīta nādhikam tatrāpi vastvante vastvante tarpaṇaṃ pūjanam iti yāvad vyākhyāsamāptiḥ
Then, by means of the general argha-vessel, he should gratify the wheel of deities. Thereafter he should expound the text — its aphorisms, sentences, and chapters — keeping the earlier and later passages free of contradiction, and, in accordance with the propriety of the exegetical maxims (reapplication, repetition, incidental extension, conjunction, option, and the rest), having soundly framed the prima facie position and soundly refuted it, establishing what is to be proved and displaying the purport, he should expound up to the end of a chapter, not beyond. There too, at the close of each topic, there is gratification and worship — and so on until the exposition is complete.
