13.33

तत्र शरीरे प्राणे धियि च तदनुसारेण शूलाब्जन्यासं कुर्यात् तद् यथा आधारशक्तिमूले मूलं कन्द आमूलसारकं लम्बिकान्ते कलातत्त्वान्तो दण्डः मायात्मको ग्रन्थिः चतुष्किकात्मा शुद्धविद्यापद्मं तत्रैव सदाशिवभट्टारकः स एव महाप्रेतः प्रकर्षेण लीनत्वात् बोधात् प्राधान्येन वेद्यात्मकदेहक्षयात् नादामर्शात्मकत्वाच् च इति

tatra śarīre prāṇe dhiyi ca tadanusāreṇa śūlābjanyāsaṃ kuryāt tad yathā ādhāraśaktimūle mūlaṃ kanda āmūlasārakaṃ lambikānte kalātattvānto daṇḍaḥ māyātmako granthiḥ catuṣkikātmā śuddhavidyāpadmaṃ tatraiva sadāśivabhaṭṭārakaḥ sa eva mahāpretaḥ prakarṣeṇa līnatvāt bodhāt prādhānyena vedyātmakadehakṣayāt nādāmarśātmakatvāc ca iti

— the imposition of the trident-and-lotus (the inner trident diagram) ; — at the root, the supporting power (the base cakra) ; — the root is the bulb (kanda) ; — up to the uvula (lambikā) ; — the shaft (daṇḍa) ending at the kalā-principle ; — the knot consisting of māyā ; — consisting of the quadrangle (the cross-piece) ; — the lotus of Pure Knowledge ; — the venerable Sadāśiva ; — the Great Corpse (mahāpreta, the supine seat-figure) ; — because (in him) all is utterly dissolved ; — from the dwindling of the body that consists of the knowable ; — and because he consists of the awareness of inner resonance (nāda)

There, in the body, the breath, and the intellect, he should accordingly perform the imposition of the trident-and-lotus; namely: at the base, the supporting power, the root, is the bulb, drawn from the very root; up to the uvula, the shaft ending at the kalā-principle; the knot consisting of māyā; the cross-piece (the quadrangle); the lotus of Pure Knowledge; and there itself the venerable Sadāśiva. He is also the Great Corpse — because in him all is utterly dissolved, predominantly through awareness, by the dwindling of the body that consists of the knowable, and because he consists of the awareness of inner resonance.
