मन्त्रस्तम्भनतायां हि नासौ वह्निस्तदोच्यते ॥७॥
mantrastambhanatāyāṃ hi nāsau vahnistadocyate

(Objection by analogy:) Indeed, when fire is rendered powerless to burn by a mantra, it is then said not to be 'fire' (— so Śiva without his power would not be Śiva).
