स्वेच्छातो भावरूपत्वे पराधीना कुतः स्थितिः ॥४२॥

svecchāto bhāvarūpatve parādhīnā kutaḥ sthitiḥ

— by his own will ; — in his taking the form of existing things ; — dependent on another ; — whence ; — existence

When (Śiva) takes the form of existing things by his own will, whence could there be any dependence on another?
