तदतत्प्रतिभाभाजा मात्रैवातद्व्यपोहनात्
तन्निश्चयनमुक्तो हि विकल्पो घट इत्य् अयम् ॥३॥
tadatatpratibhābhājā mātraivātadvyapohanāt
tanniścayanamukto hi vikalpo ghaṭa ity ayam

It is by consciousness alone, partaking of the cognition of 'that' and 'not-that', through the exclusion of the not-that, that this conceptual construction 'pot' — called the ascertainment of that — comes about.
