तं विद्याद्दुःखसंयोगवियोगं योगसंज्ञितम् । स निश्चयेन योक्तव्यो योगोऽनिर्विण्नचेतसा ॥ ६-२४ ॥
taṃ vidyādduḥkhasaṃyogaviyogaṃ yogasaṃjñitam | sa niścayena yoktavyo yogo'nirviṇnacetasā || 6-24 ||
— let him know that as the disjoining ; — from union with sorrow, named yoga ; — it is to be practised with resolve ; — that yoga, with an undespairing mind

let him know that to be the state called yoga, the severance of all union with sorrow; that yoga is to be practised with resolve and an undespairing mind.
