प्रजहाति यदा कामान्सर्वान्पार्थ मनोगतान् । आत्मन्येवात्मना तुष्टः स्थितप्रज्ञस्तदोच्यते ॥ २-५७ ॥
prajahāti yadā kāmānsarvānpārtha manogatān | ātmanyevātmanā tuṣṭaḥ sthitaprajñastadocyate || 2-57 ||
— when he abandons desires ; — all that dwell in the mind, O Pārtha ; — content in the self by the self alone ; — then he is called of steady wisdom

When a man wholly abandons all the desires that dwell in the mind, O Pārtha, content in the Self by the Self alone, then he is called one of steady wisdom.
