3.33
मकारेण जगत्स्रष्टा प्रणवार्थ उदाहृतः । सच्छब्देन सदा स्थायि चिच्चैतन्यं प्रकीर्तितम् ॥३३॥
makāreṇa jagatsraṣṭā praṇavārtha udāhṛtaḥ | sacchabdena sadā sthāyi ciccaitanyaṃ prakīrtitam ||33||
— by the letter M ; — the creator of the world (Brahmā) ; — the meaning of the praṇava ; — is set forth ; — by the word 'sat' ; — ever ; — enduring ; — the consciousness that is pure awareness ; — is proclaimed

by the letter M, the creator of the world—such is the meaning of the praṇava set forth. By the word 'sat' is proclaimed the ever-enduring; by 'cit', pure consciousness.
