चतुर्वर्गं करे कृत्वा परत्रेह च मोदते ॥१७॥
caturvargaṃ kare kṛtvā paratreha ca modate ||17||
— the four aims (dharma, wealth, pleasure, liberation) ; — in his hand ; — having placed ; — in the other world ; — in this world ; — and ; — rejoices

Holding the four aims of life in his hand, he rejoices both here and in the world beyond.
