3.16
बहुजन्मार्जितैः पुण्यैः सद्गुरुर्यदि लभ्यते । तदा तद्वक्त्रतो ज्ञात्वा जन्मसाफल्यमाप्नुयात् ॥१६॥
bahujanmārjitaiḥ puṇyaiḥ sadgururyadi labhyate | tadā tadvaktrato jñātvā janmasāphalyamāpnuyāt ||16||
— acquired over many births ; — by merits ; — a true guru ; — if ; — is obtained ; — then ; — from his mouth ; — having learnt ; — the fruitfulness of (his) birth ; — would attain

If, through merits acquired over many births, a true guru is found, then, having learnt (this mantra) from his mouth, one would attain the fruitfulness of one's birth.
