— in each half-watch ; — the arising of a phoneme-class ; — equal at the equinox ; — two hundred and sixteen ; — of breaths ; — thirty-six caṣakas ; — arising without effort (spontaneous) ; — the arising of the phonemes

Therein, in each half-watch there is the arising of a phoneme-class, equal at the equinox: for each phoneme there are two hundred and sixteen breaths, externally thirty-six caṣakas — such is the arising. This is the effortless arising of the phonemes.
