स एव स्थानप्रकल्पनशब्देन उक्तः तत्र त्रिधा स्थानं प्राणवायुः शरीरं बाह्यं च तत्र प्राणे तावत् विधिः सर्वः असौ वक्ष्यमाणः अध्वा प्राणस्थः कल्यते तस्य क्रमाक्रमकलनैव कालः स च परमेश्वर एव अन्तर्भाति तद्भासनं च देवस्य काली नाम शक्तिः भेदेन तु तदाभासनं क्रमाक्रमयोः प्राणवृत्तिः

sa eva sthānaprakalpanaśabdena uktaḥ tatra tridhā sthānaṃ prāṇavāyuḥ śarīraṃ bāhyaṃ ca tatra prāṇe tāvat vidhiḥ sarvaḥ asau vakṣyamāṇaḥ adhvā prāṇasthaḥ kalyate tasya kramākramakalanaiva kālaḥ sa ca parameśvara eva antarbhāti tadbhāsanaṃ ca devasya kālī nāma śaktiḥ bhedena tu tadābhāsanaṃ kramākramayoḥ prāṇavṛttiḥ
That very locus is what was meant by the term "the establishing of the locus." Therein the locus is threefold: the vital breath, the body, and the external world. Now, in the breath first — this entire procedure that will be set forth — the whole path of manifestation is computed as residing in the breath. Its measuring out of sequence and non-sequence is precisely Time; and that Time is comprised within the Supreme Lord himself. The shining-forth of it is the Lord's power named Kālī; but its manifesting in a differentiated mode, as sequence and non-sequence, is the activity of the breath.
