For Consciousness itself takes on a form distinct from the objects of knowledge, and for that very reason, through conjunction with delimitation, it passes into knowability and becomes the void of awareness. Then, out of its own autonomy, descending into the measurable object through its eagerness to appropriate it, dominated by the power of action, having the form of vivifying breath and the nature of the living self, it fills the body with its five forms — and therefore this (breath) appears as though it were itself sentient.
