तत्र क्रिया शक्तौ कालाध्वा प्राच्यभागे उत्तरे तु मूर्तिवैचित्र्यरूपो देशाध्वा तत्र वर्णमन्त्रपदाध्वनः कालाध्वनि स्थितिः परसूक्ष्मस्थूलरूपत्वात्

Transliteration (IAST)

tatra kriyā śaktau kālādhvā prācyabhāge uttare tu mūrtivaicitryarūpo deśādhvā tatra varṇamantrapadādhvanaḥ kālādhvani sthitiḥ parasūkṣmasthūlarūpatvāt

— action ; — in (its) power-aspect ; — the temporal path (the course of Time) ; — on the prior side ; — on the latter (side) ; — having the form of the variegation of embodied shapes ; — the spatial path (the course of Space) ; — of the paths of phoneme, mantra, and word ; — in the temporal path ; — location, abiding ; — because they have supreme, subtle, and gross forms

Therein action, in its power-aspect, is the temporal path on the prior side; while on the latter side, the spatial path has the form of the variegation of embodied shapes. Of these, the paths of phoneme, mantra, and word are located within the temporal path, because they possess the supreme, the subtle, and the gross forms.
