The Essence of the Tantra13.22

13.22

Transliteration (IAST)

yathā yathā ca svacchāyā laṅghayitum iṣṭā satī puraḥ puro bhavati tathā parameśvaramadhyatām eti sarvādhiṣṭhātṛtaiva mādhyasthyam ity uktam

— one's own shadow ; — being sought to be overstepped ; — ever further in front ; — comes to the centrality of the Supreme Lord ; — the being the governor of all ; — centrality (being-in-the-middle)

And just as one's own shadow, when one seeks to overstep it, comes ever further in front (and so cannot be left behind), so (the Lord) comes to be the centre of all; for being the governor of all is what was called centrality.
