Transliteration (IAST)

evaṃ yathā bhagavān digvibhāgakārī tathā sūryo 'pi sa hi pārameśvary eva jñānaśaktir ity uktaṃ tatra tatra tatra pūrvaṃ vyakteḥ pūrvā yatraiva ca tathā tatraiva evaṃ svātmādhīnāpi svasammukhīnasya deśasya purastāttvāt

— maker of the division of directions ; — the sun (too) ; — the very knowledge-power of the Supreme Lord ; — prior, from (its) manifestation ; — the east ; — though dependent on itself ; — of the region facing it ; — because of (its) being-in-front

Thus, just as the Lord is the maker of the division of directions, so too is the sun; for it has been said that the sun is the very knowledge-power of the Supreme Lord. There, in each case, the prior arises from (the act of) manifestation, and wherever (the sun) is thus (turned), there is the east; so, although it depends on itself, (this follows) from the being-in-front of the region that faces it.
