11.1

Transliteration (IAST)

tatra yāvat idam uktam tat sākṣāt kasyacit apavargāptaye yathoktasaṅgrahanītyā bhavati kasyacit vakṣyamāṇadīkṣāyām upayogagamanāt iti dīkṣādikaṃ vaktavyam

— all that has been said thus far ; — directly, immediately ; — for the attainment of liberation ; — by the method of synthesis as stated ; — in the initiation about to be described ; — because it serves a use (becomes applicable) ; — initiation and the rest ; — must be expounded

Now, all that has been said thus far serves, for one person, directly toward the attainment of liberation by the method of synthesis as stated; for another, it becomes applicable in the initiation about to be described. Hence initiation and the rest must now be expounded.
