स्वरूपावरणे चास्य शक्तयः सततोत्थिताः । यतः शब्दानुवेधेन न विना प्रत्ययोद्भवः ॥१५॥
svarūpāvaraṇe cāsya śaktayaḥ satatotthitāḥ | yataḥ śabdānuvedhena na vinā pratyayodbhavaḥ ||
anuṣṭubh
— for the concealment of his own nature ; — and ; — his (Śiva's, or the paśu's) ; — powers ; — ever active ; — since ; — by the piercing-through of speech ; — not ; — without ; — the rising of mental constructs

Forever active for the concealment of his real nature are these powers, since without the penetration of speech (śabda) no mental construct can arise.
