विद्यते तत्तदत्रापि शिवत्वं केन वार्यते । इति चेदेषु सत्यत्वं स्थितमेव चिदुद्गमात् ॥८॥
vidyate tattadatrāpi śivatvaṃ kena vāryate | iti cedeṣu satyatvaṃ sthitameva cidudgamāt
— exists ; — this and that ; — here too ; — Śiva-hood ; — by what ; — is excluded ; — if (you say) ; — in these ; — reality ; — is indeed established ; — from the upsurge of consciousness

(Objection continued:) '(Such existence) is present in this and that; here too, by what is Śiva-hood excluded?' (We answer:) Indeed, in these (erroneous constructs) reality is established — by virtue of the upsurge of consciousness (in them).
