यत्तु कृत्स्नवदेकस्मिनत्कार्ये सक्तमहेतुकम् ।
अतत्त्वार्थवदल्पं च तत्तामसमुदाहृतम् ॥
१८-२२ ॥
yattu kṛtsnavadekasminatkārye saktamahetukam |
atattvārthavadalpaṃ ca tattāmasamudāhṛtam ||
18-22 ||
— but that which, as though it were the whole, in one; — effect is attached, without cause; — as if without grasp of the real, and trifling; — that is declared tāmasic
But that which clings to a single effect as if it were the whole, without cause, without grasp of the real, and trifling — that is declared tāmasic.
