16.22
एतैर्वियुक्तः कौन्तेय तमोद्वारैस्त्रिभिर्नरः । आचरत्यात्मनः श्रेयस्ततो याति परां गतिम् ॥ १६-२२ ॥
etairviyuktaḥ kaunteya tamodvāraistribhirnaraḥ | ācaratyātmanaḥ śreyastato yāti parāṃ gatim || 16-22 ||
— freed from these, O son of Kuntī ; — the three gates of darkness, the man ; — practices what is good for himself ; — thence he goes to the supreme state

The man freed from these three gates of darkness, O son of Kuntī, practices what is good for himself, and thence goes to the supreme state.
