लोभः प्रवृत्तिरारम्भः कर्मणामशमश्च तृट् ।
रजस्येतानि जायन्ते विवृद्धे भरतर्षभ ॥
१४-१२ ॥
lobhaḥ pravṛttirārambhaḥ karmaṇāmaśamaśca tṛṭ |
rajasyetāni jāyante vivṛddhe bharatarṣabha ||
14-12 ||
— greed, activity, undertaking ; — of actions, restlessness, and craving ; — these arise when rajas ; — has increased, O bull of the Bharatas Greed, activity, the undertaking of actions, restlessness, and craving — these arise when rajas has increased, O bull of the Bharatas.
