kalpitas tu kāryakāraṇabhāvaḥ parameśecchayā niyatiprāṇayā nirmitaḥ sa ca yāvati yadā niyatapaurvāparyāvabhāsanaṃ saty api adhike svarūpānugatam etāvaty eva tena yogīcchāto 'pi aṅkuro bījād api svapnādau ghaṭāder apīti

— the constructed (conventional) ; — by the will of the Supreme Lord ; — whose very life-breath is Necessity (niyati) ; — fashioned, produced ; — the manifesting of a fixed before-and-after order ; — conforming to (the cause's) own nature ; — from the will of a yogin ; — a sprout ; — from a seed

The constructed causal relation, on the other hand, is fashioned by the will of the Supreme Lord, whose very life-breath is Necessity. It obtains to just such an extent and at just such a time as there is a manifesting of a fixed before-and-after order — for even where there is something more present, only that much conforms to (the cause's) nature. Thus a sprout arises even from a yogin's will, and from a seed; and a pot and the like arise even in a dream and so on.
