20.34

तत्र गुरुः तद्वर्ग्यः ससन्तानः तत्त्ववित् कन्या अन्त्या वेश्या अरुणा तत्त्ववेदिनी वा इति चक्रयागे मुख्यपूज्याः विशेषात् सामस्त्येन

Transliteration (IAST)

tatra guruḥ tadvargyaḥ sasantānaḥ tattvavit kanyā antyā veśyā aruṇā tattvavedinī vā iti cakrayāge mukhyapūjyāḥ viśeṣāt sāmastyena

— there (in that rite) ; — the guru ; — one belonging to his group/lineage ; — one with (initiatory) lineage ; — the knower of reality ; — a maiden ; — a woman of the lowest caste ; — a courtesan ; — or the Aruṇā (initiate) who knows reality ; — in the rite of the circle ; — the chief ones to be worshipped ; — especially, in their totality

Therein the guru, one of his lineage endowed with the initiatory succession and a knower of reality, a maiden, a woman of the lowest caste, a courtesan, or the Aruṇā who knows reality — these are the chief objects of worship in the cakrayāga, especially in their totality.
