4.118

तस्माज्ज्ञेयं समग्रैक्यवस्तु शैवं व्यवस्थितम् । तथा स्मरणयोगाच्च स्मर्यते किं तथाविधम् ॥११८॥

tasmājjñeyaṃ samagraikyavastu śaivaṃ vyavasthitam | tathā smaraṇayogācca smaryate kiṃ tathāvidham

— therefore ; — it is to be known ; — the reality that is the unity of the whole ; — belonging to Śiva ; — stands established ; — likewise ; — and from the operation of memory ; — is remembered ; — is what is remembered of just such a kind (as the seen)?

Therefore it is to be understood that the reality which is the unity of the whole stands established as belonging to Śiva; and likewise, from the operation of memory (it follows) — for is what is remembered of just the same kind (as what was once seen)?
