न च वास्त्यन्तरालेऽत्र सा दशा याहि केवला ॥८८॥
na ca vāstyantarāle'tra sā daśā yāhi kevalā
— but not ; — indeed ; — there is ; — in the interval ; — here ; — that state ; — which ; — indeed ; — isolated, pure (and inactive)

(We answer:) But there is here no such state in the interval — none, that is, that is (a pure quiescence) isolated (from the powers).
