पश्यन्त्या दर्शनं दृष्टे न च वा ह्युपपद्यते ॥५५॥
paśyantyā darśanaṃ dṛṣṭe na ca vā hyupapadyate
— of Paśyantī ; — seeing ; — upon an object's being seen ; — and not ; — or ; — indeed ; — is coherent

Whether (only) when an object is seen, or even (when nothing is seen) — Paśyantī's 'seeing' simply does not hold together.
